Academic Partners of GSEM UrFU

Close ties with other higher education institutions - academic partners, is one of the fundamental elements of successful development of the Graduate School of Economics and Management UrFU. We work with leading Russian universities and business schools.

The main areas of cooperation with academic partners of the School:

  • organisation and conducting of joint activities, including the Annual April International Conference GSEM UrFU;
  • joint research;
  • participation of visiting professors - renowned experts from universities - academic partners of the Institute in the academic programmes;
  • advanced training of teachers at GSEM UrFU partner universities;
  • exchange of students among the partner universities.

Russian Academic Partners:

National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow).

Currently, the HSE is the largest scientific and educational complex in the area of socio-economic sciences in Eastern Europe. It operates in four Russian cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm and includes 28 faculties, 173 departments and 120 additional education programmes (including MBA, 9 DBA, EMBA), 22 research institutes and a research centre with the team of 2,000 teachers and more than 400 researchers.

More than 12,000 full-time students (17.3 thousand students with the programs of the second higher education and the like), 630 graduate students, more than 25 thousand students of supplementary education study in HSE.

There is a "Double Degree in Economics" Bachelor programme, which is successfully implemented by GSEM UrFU together with HSE.

Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg).

Graduate School of Management (GSM) is a subdivision of St. Petersburg State University (SPSU) - one of the most prestigious and well-known Russian universities in the world. GSM follows a model of university business schools, typical of the leading business schools in the world.

GSM is a leader in the internationalisation of Russian business education. Double Degree programmes implemented by GSM have prestigious international accreditations: Executive MBA - AMBA and bachelor - EPAS (the first in Russia).

International Academic Partners

Academic partnership of the School stitute is not limited to Russian universities. GSEM UrFU has developed international contacts: students exchange programmes (in particular, by grants of the German Academic Exchange Service, the French Alliance, and other organizations), training of teachers, as well as joint educational and research projects with renowned western universities. They include: Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic) - the oldest university in Europe; Humboldt University in Berlin (Germany), University Viadrina in Frankfurt an der Oder (Germany); University of Lille (France) and other European universities.
